Dance Physical Therapy in Lebanon, NJ

Dance Like Yourself Again

From ankle sprains to chronic overuse injuries, dancers face unique challenges that most PTs don't understand. We get it. Our dance-focused physical therapy helps you recover fully, improve your technique, and prevent future injuries so you can perform at your best.

Why Dancers Struggle With Traditional Physical Therapy

Generic Protocols Don't Work for Dancers

Most physical therapists treat dancers like any other athlete. But dance demands flexibility with strength in extreme ranges—something cookie-cutter protocols completely miss.

You're Told to Just Rest and Stop Dancing

Being told to stop dancing for months isn't realistic or helpful. You need treatment that keeps you moving while you heal so you don't lose everything you've worked for.

Recovery Is Slower Than It Should Be

Without dance-specific rehab, you're stuck doing exercises that don't translate to the studio. Your injury lingers, your technique suffers, and you're worried you'll never feel the same.

Dancers who've made full comebacks

After 4 years of thinking my hip would feel better, I finally gave in and went to see Holly. Before I left my first appt I knew this was going to make a huge difference. I promote Self Care and was not looking after myself! I am now! I have goals with Holly and I KNOW they will be met!!!

Holly and all the doctors at Elevation PT provide the kind of experience that cannot be found anywhere else. They listen, they examine, and they get results through careful therapy and consistent exercise programs. Holly has treated each member of my family for various injuries and weaknesses and has helped us gain strength, mobility, and avoid surgical procedures. Elevation PT is our FIRST stop when we have an injury or weaknesses. I cannot recommend this practice enough. 5 stars does not do justice.
Stephanie Brodeur
Holly is an amazing physical therapist. She asks questions and listens to her patients to identify the best treatment plan. She cares about them as people and understands their personal goals. She has had an incredible impact on Keira, my daughter, and her dance ability. She has helped her through injuries and taught her how to prevent future ones. I highly recommend Holly and the team at Elevation Physical Therapy. They are truly the best!

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from dancers about treatment

Do you work with all dance styles?

Yes. Whether you do ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, or any other style, we understand the specific demands and injury patterns. Your treatment will be tailored to what your body needs for your style.

Can I keep taking class while I'm in treatment?

In most cases, yes—with modifications. We believe in keeping you moving whenever possible so you don't lose conditioning and technique. We'll work with you to determine what's safe and what needs to be modified during recovery.

How long until I can perform again?

It depends on the severity of your injury and how long you've been dealing with it. Most dancers see significant improvement within 6-8 weeks, but we'll give you a realistic timeline after your evaluation based on your specific situation.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

You can start physical therapy in New Jersey without a referral for up to 30 days. If you need continued treatment beyond that we'll help coordinate with your doctor.

Will this help me prevent future injuries?

Absolutely. A huge part of our approach is teaching you how to move more efficiently and identify when something is off before it becomes a major problem. You'll leave with tools to keep yourself healthy long-term.
