FAQs

Common questions about our services, approach, and what to expect at Elevation PT.

What services does Elevation PT offer?

We offer one-on-one physical therapy, dance-specific physical therapy, and injury prevention workshops — each designed for active adults, athletes, and dancers who want focused care built around their goals, not a generic protocol.

Do I need a doctor's referral to get started?

No. New Jersey's direct access law allows you to begin physical therapy without a referral for up to 30 days or 12 visits. If ongoing treatment is needed beyond that, we'll help coordinate with your physician.

Do you accept insurance?

We're cash-based and out-of-network, which means longer sessions and no insurance-driven restrictions on your care. We provide a superbill after each visit that you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

How is Elevation PT different from a traditional clinic?

Every session is 60 minutes of one-on-one time with your therapist — no aides, no double-booking, no rushed handoffs. We focus on the root cause of your issue and build a plan around your specific goals, not a checklist.

How do I know which service is right for me?

If you're dealing with pain or an injury, physical therapy is the starting point. If you're a dancer, our dance-specific PT is built around the demands of your training. If you're healthy and want to stay that way, injury prevention is a great fit. Still unsure — a free phone consult will get you pointed in the right direction.
